Join Alterist’s designer Clara Chu for playful, hands-on design workshop where you will turn trash into treasure (AKA an upcycled bag!) In this 90-minute session, you'll create wearable bag sculptures using everyday household waste, from old Tupperware lids and rubber tubing to denim scraps, USB cables, and silicone mats.
Instead of starting with sketches, we’ll respond directly to the materials in front of us. You’ll learn how to work in 3D, experiment with binding techniques, and combine unexpected textures to create anything from mini statement bags to sculptural bag charms. Whether it’s a cassette case turned clutch or a laundry scoop reborn as a chain bag, the results are always inventive, joyful, and uniquely yours.
This is a fun and accessible workshop for anyone looking to rethink what waste can become. All tools are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own materials too, think fabric scraps, broken gadgets, or random bits and bobs from your drawers and recycling bins.
Come have fun, and let’s redefine what accessories mean to us.
This workshop is for ages 14+ (Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult when using sharp tools)
One ticket reserves one seat no guests allowed
No refunds or transfers to other workshops
