In this workshop, you’ll join Athene Club and Morello to reimagine the classic football shirt using ruching, heatoress patches and customisation. Whether it’s your own club colours or a custom crest, this is about turning something old into something more one-off.
We kick things off with a guided walk led by Athene at 12pm, diving into the local area, it’s culture and stories. After the walk will end back at the AYM pop up at Coal Drops Yard for refreshments and a reset.
Then it’s into the workshop: reworking second-hand football shirts and deadstock football textiles into one-of-one kits hosted by upcycling brand Morello. No background in sewing required, all equipment and help will be provided on the day. You are welcome to bring an old football jersey to customise if not we will have plenty of ones to choose from.
